See in colour, play in colour…
A packet of QUADRIVAL colour playing cards. Our standard colours are red, green, purple, and orange. These are the colours that represent the brand.
When designing these playing cards our focus was entirely on colour. We wanted the players to see the colour before anything else about the card. To achieve this we used bright and bold colours on black cards. The patterns and pips on the cards are simple so as to not distract from the colour too much. The pips are displayed in a 9 square grid with the number of coloured squares being the same as the value of the card. Cards with a value greater than 9 have 10 additional squares surrounding the original 9 square grid. The cards use a very Greek looking font, and this was because the cards were originally designed for a specific game that used a Gladiator theme.
Colours that work for you…
Everyone has their own favourite colour, and everyone has a different opinion on what colours work together. My cards will be available in a variety of colours so that players can choose the colours that work best for them. In time more colours will be added to the collection, with you the players deciding what works and what doesn’t. There are currently 5 colours available to choose from.
